Two of the dirtiest races in the nation -- the one against Lois Murphy (running for U. S. House in Pennsylvania) and the one against Harold Ford, Jr. in Tennessee -- lead to Republican victories. It would have been nice to know who would have won those races had the campaigns been clean and decided on the real issues. When is the electorate going to get angry at all the lies and distortions and teach that dirty campaigning doesn't pay off?
